Awards: Need or Merit Based with a minimum award of $500 per student

African American
2.75 GPA
Currently enrolled in a Greater Richmond (Petersburg, Chesterfield, Charles City, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan, and City of Richmond) Area Public School as a graduating senior in good academic standing
Currently enrolled in a Greater Richmond (Petersburg, Chesterfield, Charles City, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan, and City of Richmond) Area College or University in good academic standing
Applicants must submit a letter of acceptance for the Fall 2024 enrollment period into an accredited, four-year undergraduate program Or provide proof of enrollment in a local accredited, four-year undergraduate program.
Must complete online application with essay or video submission, with required documents by April 15, 2024.
Scholarship Submission Criteria: Choose a topic below and respond through a written essay (500 words minimum, one page maximum) or video submission (options of Tiktok, Instagram, etc). Videos should be a minimum of two minutes with a maximum of four minutes. Please refer to “Parking Lot Pimping” video by @lynezzy, @iamlegallyhype, or @blackhistoryintwominutes as an example. Upload essay or provide a link to the video for review in the online application form.

(Mission: Our mission is to support the Urban League Movement through our volunteerism, philanthropy, and membership development that is focused around the National Urban League pillars of education, health, economic power, leadership and racial justice.)
